Confession: I am one of those weirdos that loves to mess with my pores. Extracting in front of my 10x magnification mirror is like therapy for me. Well aware of this, Gigi generously bought me a package of boscia’s Pore Purifying Black Strips. Having used the Biore version many times before, I was excited to compare and contrast. My first thought was “For this price these must blow Biore out of the water!”…ah, but not so.
While both boscia and Biore’s strips contain silica (to control excess oil), boscia steps their game up by adding charcoal powder to the mix (to draw out impurities and detoxify). Perhaps this explains the steep price tag…six strips for $15.
To the point: not worth the price. The boscia strips did exactly what they’re touted to do…I applied the strip to my wet nose, allowed it to try, peeled off and examined the extractions. They got the job done – but that’s about it. I noticed no difference that could justify the price. I will definitely use up this box but I don’t think I will repurchase.
PROS: Preservative-free, cooling on contact, not too “sticky” when peeled off
CONS: Price, somewhat drying (par for the course w/such a product), the strip is black – which, for extracting freaks like myself, means you cannot easily see what’s just been plucked from your pores! Believe it or not, this is my biggest con!
Anyone know of another brand of pore strips worth trying?!

Have you tried the Pond’s strips? I haven’t but I have seen them around. I used the Biore this time but next extraction time I will be trying the Boscia strips I bought.
No, I haven’t even seen the Pond’s version! I’ll keep an eye out! Let us know how your boscia experience is!
