What It Is: Marilyn is a hair treatment that moisturizes and increases the vibrancy of blonde hair (real or fake).
How It Works: Coat your dry hair in this mask for 20-30 minutes. During this time olive oil gets to work to moisturize, lemon increases shine and the weak dye found in chamomile lightens tone. Rinse and shampoo/condition as normal.
Verdict: I was definitely skeptical at first but I love Marilyn. I would never dye my hair so for me this subtle change is perfect. It brings out natural variance in my blonde hair and gives it a little more depth. My mom noticed a difference right away without me even telling her about the product. It smells divine (and the scent lingers through a wash!) – kind of like lemon and honey. Unfortunately the runny texture can be a little messy but you don’t really need to be careful when applying it since it goes all over your head/hair/scalp. It softens and lightens without leaving a film or buildup. It’s the only hair treatment from LUSH that I have repurchased!
The Details: A 7.9 oz pot is $21.95 and can be purchased online or in stores!

Ashlee, you are way too advanced for us! Haha! Thanks for all your support
I tried Marilyn a while back at the suggestion of a Lush employee and, while I really liked how soft it made my hair and how nice it made my curls look, I hated what it did to the color of my red hair. It stripped a lot of the red out and made it look rather dull and more blonde than I liked (which I fixed with a little of Lush’s Caca Rouge). Definitely good for blondes and lighter brunettes, or anyone with thin and/or slightly curly hair, but not so great for redheads who want to stay red
Thanks for the input Becka! You probably helped a few fellow red heads out there!
